Hawa Mahal Museum for a Historical Vision

The Hawa Mahal Museum is located in the cultural city of Jaipur in Rajasthan. It was built by the great emperor of Rajasthan, Sawai Pratap Singh in the year 1799. It is kind of a honeycomb structure which resembles any palace and is built with thousands of small windows. The palace is very famous because of these thousand windows only, through which the winds can circulate in and out. In addition it keeps the place temperate as per in the all changing seasons. The Royal Orders letters are quite fascinating too which are displayed in the museum. The armory gallery consists of the swords to knife collection. The war dresses are quite magnificent too. The coin gallery contains the largest collection of the silver and gold coins of the different ruler’s time.

Hawa Mahal: An Ancient Monument

Hawa Mahal is a beautiful ancient monument that is situated in Jaipur. It was built in the year 1799 by the ruler Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh. As far as the architecture is concerned, it is a huge upright build monument and is considered as the entrance for another renowned historical monument that is the City Palace. It is basically an epitome of the old Rajputana architecture.

Hawa Mahal is the landmark of Jaipur and has made a popular name in the list of tourist attractions. The five storey building is truly a combination of beauty and royalness. It has 953 windows that is the reason why it is also named as “Palace of Winds”. It is located at Badi Chaupad , southern Jaipur. Tourists can peep in from the windows, called Jharokhas to see the scenic beauty of Jaipur city. The Jharokas were meant for circulation of air.
