Diwali Festival: A Good Time to Celebrate

Diwali is one of the most auspicious festivals of Indian culture and is celebrated with full zeal and excitement among people. It is a 5 day festival and each day has its own myth related to it. The very first day is known as Dhanwantari Triodasi or Dhan Theras and is very auspicious to buy new things especially utensils. Second day of Diwali is called Narak Chaturdasi or also famous as Choti Diwali. According to Hindu believers on this auspicious day the Lord Krishna free the world from the fear of demon Narakasur by destroying him.

The third day is for Lakhmi Pujan. On this day people worship the goddess Lakhmi who is known as the goddess of Prosperity and wealth. Exchange sweets, gifts with dear ones, lighting candles, making Rangoli, decorating home with flowers and playing with firecrackers are the main activities of this day. On the next day of Diwali people perform the Govardhan Pooja and the fifth day known as Bhai Teeka or Bhai dhuj.

Hawa Mahal: An Ancient Monument

Hawa Mahal is a beautiful ancient monument that is situated in Jaipur. It was built in the year 1799 by the ruler Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh. As far as the architecture is concerned, it is a huge upright build monument and is considered as the entrance for another renowned historical monument that is the City Palace.
