Albert Hall Museum: an essential tourist place in Jaipur

The land of Rajasthanis, Rajasthan is known as the largest state by area of the country. It is located in the northwestern region of the country. The great Thar Desert is the most important feature of this state in India. This state shares its boundary with Pakistan in the west direction. It almost covers the 10.4% area of the country and is in one of the most populated states. There are numerous attractions in this colorful state for the tourists. A large number of forts, palaces, museums and religious temples are the special features of this great land.

One of these eye catching spots, the Albert Hall Museum is also worth seeing. It is a museum which is placed in Jaipur city. The capital city of Rajasthan, Jaipur had this ancient museum which is one of the oldest museums of the state. In addition it functions as the Rajasthan’s State Museum. The building of Albert Hall is located near the ram Niwas Garden in Jaipur. This garden is also another attraction of the city which is full of lush greenery and is admired highly by the local people. The building of this museum is the great example of the Indo Saracenic Architectural style. This ancient architectural style is a very beautiful one and has been used in most of the ancient building and forts of Rajasthan.

The Albert Hall Museum was inaugurated in the year 1887 and was designed by a person known as Sir Samuel Swinton Jacob. The other name of the museum is the Government Central Museum. It has a rich and a great collection of the beautiful artifacts. Like carpets, stone, paintings, ivory, crystal works, metal sculptures, etc.

So in order to reach this ancient building which is full of rich history and collection, you just have to reach the city of Jaipur.
