Pali is a district which is located in the Rajasthan State. It lies in the western part of India. The eastern border of the Pali District is formed from the Aravalli Hills Range. The place is surrounded by eight districts of Rajasthan states which are highest in the number. The districts by which it is bounded are Nagaur District, Ajmer District, Rajsamand District, Udaipur District, Sirohi District, Jalore District, Barmer District and Jodhpur District.
The area is famous for Luni River and its tributaries such as Guhiyabala, Jawai, Sukri, Mithari, and Bandi. The evolution of Luni River is near Ajmer from the Aravalli Range. In addition to this, the popular points of attraction in Pali are as follows:
- Jawai dam It is included among the largest dams in the western part of Rajasthan. The Jawai Dam is located in Sumerpur tehsil. The capacity of the dam is around 6000 million cubic feet. The area is surrounded by lush green trees due to an abundance of water. This makes it a favorite tourist destination and a famous picnic spot.
- Ranakpur Ranakpur is a village and it is home to several significant Jain temples. The famous Ranakpur Jain temple is renowned worldwide for its royal architecture. The temple is made up of light color marble stone and covers an area of about 60 x 62 meters. The temple consists of more than 1000 marble pillars and famous for its featured domes, turrets, Shikhara and cupolas. The best thing about these pillars is that these all are carved in a different way so that no two pillars look same. The majestic architecture of the Ranakpur Jain temple attracts thousands of tourists every year.
In addition to this, there are several other attractions also such as Parshuram Mahadev Temple and Nimbo Ka Nath Mahadev Temple. These attract a large number of spiritual tourists here from all around the world.
