Bikaner is a district in Rajasthan. The city of Bikaner lies in the northern part of India. It is situated at a distance of 330 km from the state capital of Rajasthan in the northwest direction. The city possesses a rich history and it was built by Rao Bika.

The city of Bikaner is positioned in the center of the Thar Desert. The tourists can enjoy various adventurous sports here which are related to desserts. The city is also famous for various historical destinations. The famous points of attraction in Bikaner are as follows.

1. Junagarh Fort

This great historic fort was constructed by King Rai Singh. The fort was constructed in order to secure the area which was ruled by King Rai Singh. The regal architecture and art of fort is worth seeing. Various temples and places are constructed in the Junagarh Fort. These are primarily made up of marble and red sandstone. The places in the fort are known for picturesque courtyards, kiosks, windows and balconies. In addition to this, the tourists will also find a museum in the fort.

2. Lalgarh Palace

The Lalgarh Palace was constructed during the period of 1902 to 1926 according to Mughal, European and Rajput architectural styles. The structure was specially made by King Ganga Singh in remembrance of his father. The fort is covered by red sandstones and contains a number of grand halls, cupolas, lounges, and pavilions. The Shri Sadul Museum is a famous museum which is located in the fort and contains many important Sanskrit manuscripts. Some part of the fort is converted into Heritage hotel.

In addition to this, there are several other sightseeing’s such as the Laxmi Niwas Palace, the temple of Maru Nayak Ji and many more. Apart from this, Bikaner is also famous for its snacks and sweets. This attracts a large number of history and adventure lovers here from all around the world.
