Karnataka is actually one of the beautiful
places of India. The natural scenic view of the place calls a large number of

The second highest thrust waterfall which is located on the borders North Kanara
and Shimoga is the Jog Falls. In India,
it is located in the states of Karnataka 100 Kms far from the City of Shimoga.
These picturesque falls consists of various segmented fall. The Jog Falls are
also known by the names of Gersoppa Falls, Jogada Gundi and Gerusoppe Falls. It
lies in the heart of dense lush green forests at a distance of 16kms from the
nearest railway station which is located in Talguppa. The tourist can also
reach this place by using National Highway 4 or 48.
The Sharavathi River falling creates Jog
Falls. The Western Ghats provides rise of the river. The river falls from 253 m
high land structure. This makes Jog Falls the second main plunge waterfall. The area of Jog Falls is greatly known for its
wildlife and greenery. The region is enclosed with the prosperity of ample
vegetation.
In the season of the Monsoons, the Jog falls generates a fantastic scene with rainbows.
The tourists can enjoy adventurous and exciting walk at the underneath of the
gorge. This beautiful
place can be
visited in every season but the most excellent time to enjoy the natural beauty
of Jog Falls is in winter. In the winter season the sky remains free from the
mist, so the stunning views of fall can be realized on its top. Further the
