Have You Heard about The Beauty of Rang Ghar?

Rang Ghar is situated in the Sibsagar district of Assam. This place is believed to be house of entertainment. It is located adjacent to the Palace of Gargaon. It is royal in terms of origin. This building was constructed for the purpose of watching sports by the kings of the dynasty of Ahom.

In terms of architecture, the Rang Ghar is a double story building. The shape of the pavilion is oval. This building of Assam is considered to be one of the oldest pavilions of the country of India. This stadium was constructed in the year of 1744. The king of Pramatta built the stadium. The architectural style of the building is interesting and beautiful. In the past, the stadium was used for the purpose of watching the fights of elephants.

The height of the pavilion is approximately 10 meters. The stadium is 27 meters long and 11 meters broad in terms of dimensions. A very beautiful ground is situated in front of the Rang Ghar. This ground was used as a venue for different sports by the people of the royal society. You can reach to the top points of the pavilion by following very sharp flight of steps. These points are believed to be the spots used by the people of the royal society to enjoy the various sports events.

The pavilion of Rang Ghar is magnificent in terms of architecture. Also, the lush green surroundings add more charm to the beauty of this sports pavilion. Very finely designed and slim baked bricks have been used in the construction. No cement has been used in the construction. Instead of cement, a mixture of eggs and rice is used for cementing the bricks.

The nearest airport to Rang Ghar is the Rowriah Airport which is situated at a distance of 60 kilometers approximately.
