Kheda: A Most Popular Tourist Spot in Gujarat

Gujarat is one of the most popular tourist spots in India and has several places which attract thousands of tourists not only from India but from different parts of the world. One among these places is the city of Kheda. It is situated in Kheda district in the state of Gujarat. Kheda is also known by the name “Kaira”.
The town is about 35 km away from Ahmedabad and so is easily approachable using the sharing or private taxi services from the Ahmedabad Airport which receives domestic as well as international flights.

Kheda is situated on the bank of River Vatrak and River Shedi and is known mainly for its beautiful temples. Shree Mahalakshmi Temple and Shree Mankameshwar Temple are two most popular temples of the town which attracts devotees from all over the country. Shree Mahalakshmi Temple is a beautiful temple which has a huge statue of goddess Lakshmi which is made of pure marble. The surrounding River Vatrak gives an amazing scenic view of the temple.

Other than the temples Kheda also has a number of picnic spots where you can have a wonderful time with your family members. There are several retail shops in the town where you can enjoy shopping of traditional items. You can also enjoy the delicious street food in the open air restaurants of the town.

Kheda has several lodges and hotels which provide comfortable accommodation for all budgets to the visitors where they can relax themselves. For the dining of the visitors there are plenty of hotels in the town which offer varieties of delicious food to the tourists especially the traditional food of Gujarat. To travel to this beautiful place the tourists can use the rail and bus service also.
