Bhaja Caves – a Rock Cut Cave in India

India is full of great architectural structures which are located all over the country. These magnificent structures were built at the time when there was no electricity and technology was present, but still are the best structures even if compared to the present technological structures. One of these classical structures is the Bhaja Caves. These caves are the rock cut caves which were built during the 200 BC in the state of Maharashtra. There are many other caves also present near this place which are also built in the same architectural style can be visited too.

The great monument of Chaityagriha is placed here which is a large shrine. This shrine also revealed the mythology of the great culture of India in the past. The caves are full of carvings which are its admirable feature. A large number of art and history lovers like to visit this place again and again due to its fascinating magnificence. In addition the cave was the major trade route to reach the region of the Deccan. This route also passes through the Arabian Sea in its eastern direction in the past. In addition this site has been declared under the protected sites of the country for its preservation and maintenance. 

The most admirable feature of these caves is the monument which consists of 14 stupas. This monument shows the great architectural style of the ancient time. The waterfall which starts flowing in the rainy season also enhances the beauty of this place. This waterfall falls in a small water pond which is surrounded by the small flower beds. It is highly admirable and greatly admired by the visitors. In order to reach here flights can be booked till Pune or Mumbai. It is located near Lonavla and road route can be opted to reach here from the airports.
