Amer Fort which is also known as Amber Fort is the most popular place of Rajasthan. It is situated in the town of Amer which is a part of Jaipur. Jaipur is popular as the Pink City. The fort is situated at the distance of 11 kilometers from Jaipur. This beautiful fort is situated on the hills. Raja Man Singh I had built this Amer fort. The building has the artistic style of Rajput and Hindu elements. The architecture style of the fort represents the mixture of both the styles of Rajput and Hindu cultures. It is located at Maota Lake.

There are four major sections in the fort with each section having its own courtyard along with the entry gate. The Suraj Pole which is also known as Sun Gate is the major entrance and this gate make the way to Jaleb Chowk. Jaleb Chowk is the major courtyard. At the time when kings ruled this place, this place was used to assemble the soldiers. There is a notable stairway present at the Jaleb Chowk which makes the way for entering into the grounds of main palace. Sila Devi Temple is also present in the fort. It is very famous temple of Jaipur and lots of people come here for doing worship of the Goddess.

Ganesh Gate whose name has been inspired by the Lord Ganesha is also famous as Ganesh Pole was the entrance to private palaces of kings. Suhag Mandir is located above this gate which was used by the women of the royal family to see functions which were organized in the Diwan-i-Am. Sheesh Mahal is a very beautiful place which attracts the people. The ceilings and walls of the place have lots of mirrors which gives a stunning view to the tourists.
