Beauty of Jama Masjid New Delhi

Delhi is the capital city of India. It is a well developed and highly populated place. It has a popular history that enhances its beauty towards royal and traditional culture. Since ancient times, it has been the place of rulers. Thus the royal touch of the place is still alive. While travelling to the place you will find several attractions. However amongst all, the historical monuments of Delhi are quite exquisite.

Jama Masjid, the shine of New Delhi is the Islamic style monument that is forty one metres high. As far as the dimensions of the place are concerned, it is approximately 80m in length and 27m in width. It is actually a principal mosque that is located in the Chawri Bazaar in Old Delhi. This was commissioned by Shah Jahan the great Mughal Emperor, who also built the world popular Taj Mahal.

The name Jama Masjid is basically derived from Jummah, the Muslim prayer that means congregational mosque. It is a very huge mosque that can withhold nearly 25000 worshippers at a time. Even the architecture built up of Jama Masjid is quite exquisite and attracts people from India and various parts of the world.
